MakeupGeek Haul

Are you excited? Are you EXCITED!? I know I am, so if you’re not excited yet, you should be! Getting right to the point, my package from Makeup Geek arrived today, all the way from the US of A. That totally rhymed, I’m awesome. Enough said. Oh, just to let you know, this post will be pic heavy. I’m sorry if the loading time is slower, but I just had to take some photos for you.

Here’s my modest looking box open and full of goodies, plus there’s a little note on the inside with a heart on it. How sweet! Loving the personalised touch there. Here’s what the note says;

My name was written on the other half of the card in HUGE letters that I didn’t include here, but that’s not the important part of the note anyway. I certainly hope I will enjoy my new products as well! A big thank you to Bailey and the Makeup Geek team.

This haul happened because I went a little crazy when I saw all the reviews on youtube of the new foiled shadows released recently by Makeup Geek, and decided that I just HAD to have them. I’m not sure why I decided this now, I never got swept up in the hype last time around…. So while I was browsing the Makeup Geek website I saw that they were selling a set of ALL 20 of the foiled shadows – that went straight into my cart. Then of course I needed a Z Palette to put all the pretty foily shadowy goodness into, so I picked out the white pearl large Z Palette. But it didn’t end there, oh no. I figured that I was going to have to pay a bucket load for shipping to Australia, so why not take a look at the original pressed shadows and grab a few of those as well. I was browsing through the single shadows, adding to my cart when I just decided I might as well grab 20 of the original shadows and another Z Palette, just to even things out, and that’s exactly what I did. 40 eyeshadows and 2 large Z Palettes…… I know, I lost my head completely.

Isn’t that the most ludicrous yet amazing pile of eyeshadows you’ve ever seen?! It certainly is for me. I was completely caught up in the hype around Makeup Geek. Regrets? ZERO! Oh and here are the Z Palettes as well.

Z Palettes

As mentioned before, the white pearl finish palette is for the foiled shadows (fitting, don’t you think?), and the black palette is for the original pressed shadows. Now to what you’ve all been waiting for, photos of the eyeshadow pans! I’ll start with the original formula shadows;

And now, introducing the star of the show, the foiled shadows!

Look at those beautiful little round pans of amazingness. JUST LOOK AT THEM!

I feel like my photos didn’t come out as well as I had hoped, and they certainly don’t do the foiled shadows justice. I’m blaming the clouds for that. Damn clouds, ruining my natural lighting. Such is life.

But that’s it folks, I’m all hauled out. Plus I need to go play with these little pretties and sitting here in front of my computer screen is taking up valuable play time.

I’m planning on doing a swatch and review post on the foiled shadows soon. Would you want to see one for the original formula shadows as well? Yay or nay? Let me know!

xo, Nifty.
